The Fig Bun is aimed at a young audience and has been published by Sol de Sol Publishing, with illustrations by artist Leyre Apellániz.

The book tells the story of Carmelo, a boy raised by his grandmother Paca in a picturesque coastal village in Almería. Through various adventures, Carmelo discovers his passion for gastronomy—a path that ultimately leads him to open his own culinary school in Lisbon.
